Integrated Management System (IMS)

Exlayer maintain its Integrated Management System (IMS) to provide the highest quality of services and maintain information security, backed by both ISO9001 and ISO27001 since 2003.

Quality Policy

The board of directors of Exlayer has been actively supporting Information Quality System (QS) and has formed an IMS Forum within the organisation. Having become an ISO9001 registered firm in 2003, Exlayer is continuously maintaining and improving their QS. Exlayer quality objectives are:

  • To ensure that any faults discovered in any Exlayer product upon or after delivery are few in number and low in severity
  • To ensure that Exlayer products do not inadvertently become obsolescent, for example due to advances in technology or changes in customer requirements
  • At all times to convey Exlayer's competence, enthusiasm, dedication and good manners to the client.

Information Security Policy

ISO27001

The board of directors of Exlayer has been actively supporting Information Security Management System (ISMS) and has formed an IMS Committee within the organisation. Having become a BS7799 registered firm in 2003 and converted it to the International Standard ISO27001 in 2007, Exlayer is continuously maintaining and improving their ISMS. Exlayer information security objectives are:

  • To provide a 24 x 7 service to customers
  • To ensure that our customers' data, and indeed our own of a sensitive nature, does not fall into the wrong hands, and that we fulfil our obligations with regards to the Data Protection Act and other applicable laws and regulations
  • To ensure that the data that we use are sufficient for the purposes that we wish to use it at the time that we wish to use it and that our records are in keeping with the requirements of the Companies Act and the principles of sound corporate governance
  • To establish responsibility and accountability for Information Security within our organisation
  • To encourage our employees to maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and skill to allow them to minimise the occurrence and severity of Information Security incidents
  • To ensure business continuity in the event of significant Information Security incidents or disasters.

Maintain Management System

Exlayer run IMS Management Review meeting every quarter to identify incidents, review how we have resolved, learn the cases, plan how to improve our QS and ISMS and how to implement. Our IMS is sustainable, practical and understood at all Exlayer staff levels.
