NorthSeas Guard E/N

The built-in software contained in the Guard E/N SB, Guard E/N and Gal E/N appliances provide all required functionality such as Search, List, View and Retrieve. No server or client installation is required.

Why is it Exlayer's Choice?

We like it's plain and simple concept. Although it may have less functionality in compare to high-end expensive solutions, it does an important job for corporates - archiving emails 24H/365D and providing a simple intuitive brower based retrieval interface.

Guard E/N Email Archiver

How does it works?

It acts as an email relay server, listening to SMTP traffic (normally on port: 25) on the network. Configure your email server setting or DNS MX records so that Guard E/N receives all email traffic.

When an email is received, it is realyed to the email server, a copy is also stored to a network share, which can be either a SMB share on Windows or a Samba share on Linux/Unix. Guard E/N indexes each message and creates a searchable index, which users can be given tiered access to. Thus they can access their own mail through e.g. an Outlook folder or a web browser. Users are restricted from accessing other users archived messages and can only retrieve to their own messages.

Simplified Compliance and Discovery

The more messages you save, the more likely you are to be in compliance with any records retention requirements that apply to your
business. By capturing all messages, the NorthSeas Guard E/N provides the least complicated and most economical option available for compliance.
