What it does?

Traditionally, the IPsec protocol was used for VPN connections. However, the cost of setting up an IPsec VPN for mobile user can be prohibitive - involving client software installation, configuration of internal servers, user training and ongoing technical support. A better solution was found in the shape of SSL VPN, with IPsec now seen as the standard for secure inter-office networking.

SSL VPN products use the SSL encryption protocol, which comes as standard in all modern web browsers, to enable a secure connection for employees requiring access to both corporate networks and internal applications.
