Trend Micro Control Manager acts as a central command centre for deployment of Trend Micro’s threat-specific expertise across the network and to select third-party products to proactively manage outbreaks. Designed to deliver the flexibility and scalability organisations need, Trend Micro Control Manager offers a multi-tier management structure with extensive customisation options for expanded control. Robust graphical reporting provides vital security insights such as sources of infections or vulnerabilities and consolidated, detailed information regarding virus events or unusual activities.

Damage Cleanup Services

Leverages Trend Micro Damage Cleanup Services*** to provide automated assessment and repair of system damages such as virus remnants, worms, Trojans, and memory registries that can result in re-infections. Intelligent collaboration capabilities allows Outbreak Prevention Services to automatically activate Damage Cleanup Services for extended protection.

Enterprise Wide Coordination

Centralised management capabilities are designed to provide a unified view of entreprise-wide security and enable administrators to configure, monitor, and maintain Trend Micro products and services installed on the network from a single console. By consistently and simultaneously deploying policies to Trend Micro products and services throughout the network, Trend Micro Control Manager helps ensure the enforcement of proactive outbreak management policies.

Flexible and Scalable Configuration of Installed Products

Trend Micro Control Manager helps organise supported antivirus servers into groups that can be remotely configured through a Web-based browser; servers can be configured simultaneously in groups or through individual replication. By mirroring product information and task functions of installed products, Trend Micro Control Manager provides true single-console management capabilities.

Multi-tier Management Structure

Trend Micro Control Manager offers a multi-tier management structure** designed to provide extensive customisation options, enabling administrators to deploy security policies according to specific network segments, divisions, departments, remote or branch offices and combine data from multiple TMCM servers into master views for central management and entreprise-wide visibility. With multi-tier management, administrators can collect data logs from multiple TMCM servers and create a single, consolidated report for a unified view of critical security activity.

Outbreak Prevention Services

Downloads and deploys (automatically or manually) proactive, threat-specific policies from Trend Micro Outbreak Prevention Services***, which help administrators deflect, isolate, and stem outbreaks using attack management recommendations. Enhanced, automatic outbreak prevention mode enables administrators to configure outbreak prevention policies based upon high or medium virus risk profiles.

Proactive Outbreak Management

Central management and deployment of industry-unique services applies Trend Micro expertise and knowledge across various phases of the outbreak lifecycle — from vulnerability prevention to malicious code prevention and elimination. Services supported include Trend Micro Vulnerability Assessment, Trend Micro Outbreak Prevention Services, and Trend Micro Damage Cleanup Services. These services can be purchased separately or together (EPS Bundle).

Robust Reporting

Trend Micro Control Manager collects information from installed servers throughout the network on virus events or unusual activity to help administrators pinpoint sources of infection or re-infection, analyse patterns of infection, and reinforce outbreak protection policies. Graphical reports** for activity tracking and analysis include multiple built-in report templates that can create reports in PDF, RTF, HTML, or Crystal Reports formats (separate software and license required for Crystal Reports).

Vulnerability Assessment

Uses Trend Micro Vulnerability Assessment*** to detect software threats and exploits*. Vulnerability Assessment correlates risk-level awareness information and viruses associated with specific vulnerabilities, enabling administrators to pinpoint the software patches necessary to help prevent virus infections and re-infections.
